Manufacturer's Guide to Growing Your Business
A step-by-step guide for FDA-registered food and beverage manufacturers looking to get discovered by qualified buyers on USA Factory Network.

Manufacturer's Guide to Growing Your Business
This guide covers everything you need to know about joining USA Factory Network as a manufacturer — from claiming your listing to responding to your first lead. If you operate an FDA-registered food or beverage facility in the United States, this platform brings qualified buyer leads directly to you.
What is USA Factory Network for Manufacturers?
USA Factory Network is a B2B marketplace where food and beverage brands come to find American manufacturing partners. As a manufacturer on the platform, you get discovered by buyers who are actively searching for production capabilities like yours.
Instead of relying on cold outreach or word-of-mouth, your facility gets matched with buyer requests based on your product categories, certifications, production capacity, and location. Every lead you receive has already been vetted — buyers submit detailed requests that our system matches against your profile, so you spend your time on real opportunities, not spam.

Quickstart: Step by Step
Step 1: Create Your Account
Visit usafactorynet.com and click Sign Up. Use your business email to create an account.
Step 2: Claim Your Listing or Create a New One
Go to the Claim page. You have two options:
Option A: Claim an Existing Listing
If your facility is already in our directory (we pre-populate listings from public FDA data and industry sources), search for your company name and claim it. You will need to provide your name, job title, contact email and phone, and confirmation that you are authorized to represent the company.
Option B: Create a New Listing
If your facility is not yet in our directory, create a new listing from scratch with your company name, description, website, location, product categories and subcategories, certifications, MOQ and lead times, and contact information.
Claims are reviewed by our team and typically approved within 1-2 business days.
Step 3: Complete Your Profile
Once your claim is approved, go to your manufacturer portal and complete your profile. This is critical — the matching system uses your profile data to determine which buyer requests you receive. Make sure to fill out:
Categories and subcategories — Select every product type you can manufacture. The more specific you are, the better your matches.
Certifications — List every certification your facility holds. Certifications are one of the strongest matching signals.
MOQ range — Set your minimum and maximum order quantities accurately.
Lead time range — Provide realistic production lead times.
Description — Write a clear, detailed description of your facility and capabilities. On the Free tier you have 500 characters; Premium gives you 5,000.
Logo — Upload your company logo for a professional appearance.
Step 4: Receive Matched Leads
Once your profile is live, you will start receiving leads when buyer requests match your capabilities. Leads appear in your manufacturer portal and include the buyer company name, product category and description, quantity and budget range, timeline, required certifications, and lead status. You will also receive email notifications when new leads arrive.
Step 5: Respond to Leads and Quotes
When a lead looks like a good fit, update the lead status, send a message to the buyer through the messaging system, and if the buyer has sent a quote request, respond with your pricing, terms, and lead times. Quick, professional responses make a strong impression — buyers are often evaluating multiple manufacturers.
Step 6: Use Messaging to Build the Relationship
The messaging system is where deals come together. Use it to discuss product specifications, share file attachments (specs, COAs, pricing sheets), negotiate terms, and coordinate next steps.

How Matching Scores Work
Understanding how the matching system evaluates your facility helps you optimize your profile:
Category match — Does your facility produce the type of product the buyer needs?
Subcategory match — More specific alignment within your category.
Certification match — Do you hold the certifications the buyer requires? This is heavily weighted.
Region — Is your facility in the buyer's preferred region?
MOQ feasibility — Can you handle the buyer's requested volume?
Profile completeness — Profiles with more complete information score higher.
Tier multiplier — Premium manufacturers with verified certifications receive a scoring boost.
Pro Tips
Complete every field in your profile. Profile completeness directly affects your matching score. An incomplete profile means missed leads.
List all your certifications. Even if a certification seems minor, it could be the deciding factor for a specific buyer request.
Set accurate MOQ ranges. If your range is too narrow, you will miss leads. If it is too broad, you will receive leads that are not a good fit.
Respond quickly to leads. Buyers are often evaluating 2-5 manufacturers simultaneously. Aim to respond within 24 hours.
Write a compelling description. Highlight what makes your facility stand out — specialized equipment, high-volume capacity, R&D capabilities, quick turnaround, or niche expertise.
Consider Premium when you are ready to scale. If you are consistently hitting your 5-lead monthly limit, Premium unlocks unlimited leads, media gallery, certification verification, and team accounts.
Keep your profile updated. If you add new certifications or expand capacity, update your profile right away. Stale profiles lead to poor matches.
Upload your logo. A profile with a logo looks significantly more professional and trustworthy than one without.
