Getting Started with USA Factory Network

Getting Started with USA Factory Network

Welcome to USA Factory Network — the B2B marketplace connecting food and beverage brands with FDA-registered American manufacturers. Whether you are a brand looking for a production partner or a manufacturer looking to fill capacity, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know.

What is USA Factory Network?

USA Factory Network is a specialized marketplace built for the food and beverage industry. We help brands find qualified, FDA-registered manufacturers across the United States for co-packing, private label, and contract manufacturing.

Every manufacturer on our platform is an American facility. Our matching system evaluates capabilities, certifications, production capacity, and location to connect you with the right partner — fast.

The platform covers 9 product categories:

  • Supplements and Functional (vitamins, nutraceuticals, sports nutrition)

  • Beverages (energy drinks, RTD, functional beverages)

  • Packaged and Shelf-Stable Foods (snacks, bars, shelf-stable products)

  • Bakery and Confectionery (baked goods, chocolate, gummies)

  • Dairy and Alternatives (dairy, plant-based, fermented)

  • Meat, Seafood and Alternatives (meat, poultry, plant-based proteins)

  • Condiments, Oils and Ingredients (sauces, spices, oils, sweeteners)

  • Specialty and Emerging (organic, clean-label, keto, gluten-free)

  • Co-Packing and Private Label (contract manufacturing across categories)

Who is it for?

For Buyers: If you are a food or beverage brand, startup, CPG company, or entrepreneur looking for a U.S.-based production partner, this platform is for you. Whether you need a co-packer for a first production run or a long-term private label manufacturer, USA Factory Network helps you find and connect with qualified facilities.

For Manufacturers: If you operate an FDA-registered food or beverage manufacturing facility in the United States, this platform brings qualified leads directly to you. Instead of waiting for inbound inquiries, you get matched with buyer requests that align with your capabilities, certifications, and capacity.

How Does It Work?

The platform works in three steps:

  1. Submit Your Request — Buyers tell us about their product — what it is, how much they need, what certifications are required, and their production timeline. Our form captures everything a manufacturer needs to evaluate the opportunity.

  2. Get Matched — Our matching system identifies qualified manufacturers based on product category, certifications, region, minimum order quantities, and more. Buyers typically receive curated matches within 48 hours.

  3. Start Production — Buyers connect directly with matched manufacturers through our messaging system. From there, you can request quotes, compare options, and finalize your production partnership — all in one place.

The Two Sides of the Platform

Buyer Dashboard

After signing up and submitting a request, buyers get access to a dashboard where they can:

  • Track the status of their requests

  • Review matched manufacturers

  • Message manufacturers directly

  • Request and compare quotes

  • Save manufacturers to a shortlist

  • Set up saved searches with email alerts

  • Manage notifications

Manufacturer Portal

Manufacturers who claim or create a listing get access to their own portal where they can:

  • View and respond to incoming leads

  • Edit their company profile (categories, certifications, MOQ, lead times)

  • Manage quote requests from buyers

  • Use the messaging system to communicate with buyers

  • Track lead status and conversion

  • Manage team members (Premium tier)

  • Access priority support (Premium tier)

What Are Certifications and Why Do They Matter?

Certifications are a critical part of the matching process. The platform tracks 19 certifications across four groups:

  • Regulatory: FDA Food Facility Registration, GMP, FSMA Compliance

  • Food Safety: HACCP, NSF GMP Certified, USP Verified, SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000

  • Quality: ISO 9001, Third-Party Lab Testing (COAs), Recall and Traceability Program

  • Specialty: USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Gluten-Free (GFCO), Kosher, Halal, Vegan

When buyers submit a request, they select the certifications they require. The matching system uses this to filter and score manufacturers, so having accurate certifications on your profile (if you are a manufacturer) or being specific about requirements (if you are a buyer) leads to better matches.

Pro Tips

  • Browse the directory first. Before submitting a formal request, explore the manufacturer directory to get a feel for what is available in your category and region.

  • Be specific in your requests. The more detail you provide about your product, volume, timeline, and certification requirements, the better your matches will be.

  • Check certifications carefully. If your product requires specific certifications (like USDA Organic or SQF), make sure to select them during the request process. This is one of the strongest matching signals.

  • Use the messaging system. Once you are matched, do not hesitate to reach out through the platform. Manufacturers respond faster to messages sent through USA Factory Network than cold emails.

  • Set up your profile completely. Whether you are a buyer or manufacturer, a complete profile leads to better results. For manufacturers especially, profile completeness directly affects your matching score.

  • Start with the right guide. If you are a buyer, check out our Buyer's Guide for a detailed walkthrough of the request and matching process. If you are a manufacturer, our Manufacturer's Guide covers claiming your listing and optimizing your profile.
